THE FIRST THING YOU SHOULD KNOW ABOUT ME IS THAT I ABSOLUTELY LOVE BEING A THERAPIST.

It didn't take me long to figure out I wanted to be a therapist. I am thrilled to work with such curious and delightful Austinites in an individual, couple and group capacity. Most clients who seek therapy with me are struggling with short or long term relationship issues, life changes (new job, birth of a child, divorce), decision making, parenting challenges, attachment injuries from family of origin, recent or past affairs or an overall dissatisfaction with life. Almost all of my clients are looking for help to slow down, find more connection and experience more meaning in this busy world in which we live. I approach my clients with warmth, empathy, presence and a healthy dose of humor. I believe effective therapy happens during the actual session as well as in between appointments.

As a therapist and curious person, I am committed to my own personal and professional development, whether that be individual consultation, a large workshop or small group setting; I find all deeply beneficial to my work as a person and a therapist. I enjoy expanding and conceptualizing my understanding of attachment theory, interpersonal neurobiology and somatic approaches. I wouldn't ask my clients to do something I wouldn't do myself!

When I'm not working, I enjoy swimming, walking the hike and bike trail, two-steppin', yoga, home improvements, spending time with friends and eating tacos. I am married with three children and have called Austin home since 1998.
